Hello WYSA Baseball Family,
We hope you are all enjoying the first afternoon of your Spring Break! We wanted to send out a message to you all about an exciting event that will occur on the last Sunday of our break. The message below comes directly from our player development lead, Chad Stuart. This is a completely free clinic being offered by our organization and is open to our 8U,10U,12U and 14U players. This is just the first in a series of clinics that we plan to offer. Please read through the message below and reach out if you have any questions. In lieu of a registration fee, we will be accepting donations for our scholarship program which will go directly to families and players in need for upcoming seasons....please consider making a small donation to such a worthwhile cause in our community. We hope you can all make it out next Sunday and we hope you have a wonderful Spring Break!

From Chad Stuart:
I’m excited to let you all know we are offering our first High School / WYSA training camp next Sunday, March 21st!
This is a great opportunity to introduce our kids to some of the high school players and get our two groups more involved.
We are calling this camp series “Bridge the Gap” to help focus on building a better baseball relationship with WYSA and Wimberley High.
*Sunday March 21st from 2pm to 4pm, Field 3 “Bridge the Gap Camp”
Camp Breakdown:
4 to 5 Wimberley High School players, running specific training groups with help from some of our WYSA coaches.
Warm up (Proper stretching and arm/body care)
Fundamental defense drills (pop fly’s, grounders, angles, etc.)
Fundamental throwing (arm motion, body control, footing, ball grip)
Hitting (Bat path, Load, Hips, Footing)
Specific Instruction per positions (outfield, middle infield, first base, pitching)
Our big focus here is to establish proper technique and discover new drills and formats that can help our younger players succeed. An even bigger plus is building a better relationship with our high school players and our WYSA kids.
This camp is free of charge. Donations are accepted and will go to future sponsorships for WYSA players next season.
